School Montessori
Drugie Piętro
We are an inclusive school, where up to 30% of students are children with disabilities. We work according to the Maria Montessori method, supporting each child's development through individualized attention, collaboration, and active learning.

About the School
We base our education on the principles of Maria Montessori's pedagogy, which assumes that every child has a natural need to develop and acquire knowledge.
and improvement.
Our approach emphasizes independence, collaboration, skill development, and a deep understanding of the student's individual needs.
We work at a pace adapted to your capabilities
and potential of each child, creating a space for active learning and action. Students have the opportunity to experience, experiment, and learn through practice – in an atmosphere of respect, acceptance, and
and responsibility. We want children to truly want to learn – from their own internal motivation.
We believe that motivation grows when a child can start with what they're good at and gradually move on to increasingly challenging tasks. It's crucial that the learning process is action-based—through touch, independent experience, and repeated practice until mastery is achieved.
There are no "better" or "worse" children – each develops at their own pace and requires different support. That's why an individualized approach is so important, allowing each child to spread their wings.
Drawing on our educational and pedagogical experience, we are now creating a place for families who share these values. A place that supports children in their development and helps them build the foundations for becoming conscious, responsible, and empathetic individuals.
6 GETIF Values
Education is a relationship
We create education that allows young people to develop, using their natural curiosity about the world and their talents.
and predispositions. We support in building self-esteem and shaping self-awareness.
Students learn,
and they are not taught
Everyone should work at their own pace – as long as it's effective. We teach
at school, not at home –
Hence, there is no homework or tutoring. We don't give tests, but we teach students to assess their knowledge and needs.
We cooperate
instead of competing
School is a brief phase of life, a time of development, a place of experience, the creation of diverse relationships, and first loves. Our school is a space of technical skills and the inspiration of dedicated teachers.
We implement sensitivity
to yourself and to your surroundings
Social responsibility is important to us. We care about ourselves and others, and we say NO to consumerism.
- we develop skills that allow us to take care of things (small sewing, DIY, cooking).
We conclude
and we doubt
Education is the ability to connect the dots. We focus on the process of learning about the world from different perspectives, through various means – through experience, active participation, trial and error.
Textbooks are just a supplement.
We are just a stage

About the Students
Our students learn in mixed-age groups – in small teams or individually, at their own pace and following a separate curriculum.
They work on tasks or sections of material for as long as they need. It's a system that resembles family life—or the Bullerbyn experience familiar to children—where younger children learn from older ones, and older children learn by helping younger ones. This approach ensures there are no children who "fall behind" or who get bored.
Each child works according to their own abilities,
and the number of repetitions – whether letters practiced on trays
with a poppy seed, or multiplication cards – depends solely on his or her needs. One child may learn fractions in the second year of school, another –
in the fourth. And each of them is developing properly.
The teacher's role is to carefully observe progress
and support wherever the need arises –
with empathy, respect and faith in the child's potential.
Every new student begins their adventure with Montessori education by learning the principles that govern this way of working.
During the initial, adaptive period, the teacher plays a particularly important role: introducing the child to the environment, helping them organize themselves, supervising their activities, and fostering their natural curiosity and desire to learn. This is a time for building foundations—such as self-discipline, diligence, perseverance, patience, and the ability to pursue goals.
A child gradually learns to work in silence and concentration. When they begin to engage in activities independently – often with the teacher's indirect support – they become, as Maria Montessori called them, a "naturalized learner." That is, ready to work in accordance with the principles that apply to everyone, in a spirit of mutual respect, responsibility, and concentration.
Events
In the process of building independence, social competences and a sense of agency , it is extremely important to go beyond the school walls – into the world.
That's why our students participate regularly
in class and school outings, which are a natural extension of everyday learning.
Twice a year, we organize trips as part of our White and Green Schools. In January, we take children to the mountains, where they learn to ski and snowboard, developing courage and independence.
and perseverance. In the summer, we focus on outdoor activities: water sports, camping, and exploring nature together.
We welcome all interested students to participate in our trips, regardless of age or previous skills. What matters is openness, willingness to participate, and a willingness to share experiences.
Our school community has its own special holidays – moments that build a sense of community, strengthen family and friendship bonds, and allow us to celebrate what is important together.
Time spent together – with students and their families – is an important part of our education and upbringing.
Throughout the year, we celebrate, among other things, the Graduation Ceremony – a ceremony in which children and their loved ones actively participate, always in a manner full of engagement and joy.
Just before the Christmas break, we invite you to the Winter Science Festival, and in May we celebrate Family Day – a celebration of all of us: children, parents, teachers.
At least three times a year, we also organize week-long thematic projects , such as World Cultures Week, Art Week, or Literature Week . These culminate in events to which we happily invite parents, sharing the results of our students' work, passion, and commitment.
